July Newsletter - Jacob Posey
July sure showed up quick! The Exchange has had a busy summer, and we’re just getting started! We ended May with our End of School Bash, and had a great turn out! We had a handful of new students stop by and take part in our games and dinner, thanks to our volunteers. They had a short break during the week of Connect Camps, and then we traveled to Centrifuge!
Located in Greenville, South Carolina, the location was great for having camp - and gnat free! The activities were incredibly fun and a great opportunity to do some things we can’t here, and the speakers were phenomenal. It was an incredible week where our students could engage in fellowship with other believers and hear about struggles, temptations, and trials that are relevant to their stage in life. God moved in incredible ways, broke chains, and really made our students excited to continue growing closer to the Lord as they returned home.
As we wrap up this month, we are continuing to do small group style discussion on Sunday nights, and spend Wednesdays doing fun activities and inviting friends from school. We’re excited to visit the Williams’s house for a bonfire, and many more surprise activities coming the rest of this summer!
God is moving in the students in Cordele, and we continue to ask that you would be praying for our community. Be praying that more students would be interested in knowing about God, that students would find a church home with mentors and fellow students who are encouraging them in the truth of the Lord, that the Exchange would be a safe and fun place for students to visit, and that we would be able to meet students where they’re at in order to bring Christ to them.
We are grateful for our volunteers and everyone partnering in prayer with us! Have a great July!
