A Bit About Garrett & Nichelle
Hello, I (Garrett) am originally from Florida but have spent the last 20 years in the central Georgia area. Most of my working career has been in industrial supply, but I now believe that the Lord is calling me to a new path. I have been a Christian essentially all of my life and have been involved in various ministries throughout my life. I received my Bachelor's in Christian Studies from Shorter University and am currently enrolled at Luther Rice Seminary. Some of my interests include Church history, Bible history, and Christian apologetics. I believe that these help to reassure and ground the believer's faith as we see God's moving throughout time. A couple of my hobbies are photography and collecting books (that I am going to read someday).
My wife Nichelle, on the other hand hails from a land much colder (Detroit) but moved to this area as a small child and been here ever since. She has worked in education and childcare her entire professional career and is currently at Crisp County Primary School and has worked at Pinecrest Childcare Center in the past. Nichelle is also working on getting her Bachelor's from GSW in Special Education, which is an area that she if very passionate about. She enjoys traveling and experiencing new places, spending time with our 20ish nieces and nephews, and questioning were books keep materializing from (for some reason).
I would like to thank the church for this upcoming opportunity to be considered for the position of Family and Children's Minister at Pinecrest. My vision would be to develop children and youth to be able to face the world, and to have a faith that is their own and feel confident in. As the world will throw challenges at everyone no matter who, and I want them to be able to face them with the assurance that God is with them. I look forward to meeting all of you in the future soon, and it is my prayer that God guides everyone's steps in the days to come.
In Christ
Garrett C. Pfabe
